Oblivious

I think
    About the ocean
About love and about life
       And you are always there
    In the background

I breathe only your name
       But you don’t even know mine
                       Oblivious

I know some few things
     About your life
About your thoughts
        What you do and how you act
Every thing you say
        is engraved on my mind

And you don’t even know I’m alive
                       Non-existence

The serene miliseconds
      When you’re coincidentally
      by my side
My legs turn to rubber
           And I melt inside

           
And I feel like I’ll trip
      and I think I might fall
               but I don’t and you remain
                      Unaware

You give an occasional glance
     and a glimpse of your eyes
Only one word, one touch
           And I’d be forever yours,
           and you forever mine

Your frowns and your smiles are etched on my soul
But you don’t even feel my stare
                      In distance

I memorized
     every strand of hair
At the back of your head
          Contemplating your every move
     and every gesture
Everytime you’re near
     yet far
my eyes seek you out
     and my ears
are always sharp to hear
your name, your every sound, your every shout

The first one I look for in every single crowd
           And you don’t even notice I’m there
                      Unaware

I call out to you
           I reach for you
But only in my mind
          You pass right by
And I long for you

With regards to you, I send a silent yell
How can you not feel how much I pine
                      Undisturbed

And you turn and you
look
           You gaze my way
I try to avoid but drown in your sight
           And yet it seems
           You look right through me
           Blank and unseeing
                      Unaware

But then again
         your eyes see mine
And look long enough
         Before you, with some haste,
     turn right around
         and go the other way,
         leaving me in a haze
                      Nothingness

I never
      thought you knew but
something inside me
      hopes that I was wrong
Can I really be sure
      If you are
In the shadows
      Or am I
                   the
                      Oblivious
                                  one
